Around 450,000 years ago in Europe Neanderthals evolved from Homo Heidelbergensis who were giants standing seven to eight ft tall, Heidelbergensis became Neanderthals which were just a dwarf version of the giant, with giant barrel-shaped chests they were generally built like dwarves, but were about the same height as modern man, who had also evolved from Heidelbergensis, but by staying in Africa they had become pygmy versions of Heidelbergensis by about 200,000 years ago, so Cro-Magnon aka Homo Sapiens sapiens are pygmy Heidelbergensis while the Neanderthals were dwarf Heidelbergensis. A partial pole shift around 41,000 years ago called the Laschamp Excursion lowered global temperatures during the middle of an already cold glacial period, and due to rotating the magnetic field of the Earth and lessening the Van Allen Belts, allowed massive amounts of UV light in, especially in Europe.      The Kepler data broke me. I had to acknowledge that the Drake Equation was nothing more than science fiction, and that life may have only ever evolved here in our solar system. But I still want to be Agnostic about aliens, so here's my grand theory of evolution, gods, aliens, and life only forming here in our solar system out of all of the planetary systems that we are aware of.      The Kepler observatory was designed to specifically look for planets. After looking at 42,000 class G stars similar in size to our Sun they were able to identify 2,000 stars that were edge-on towards us so that we could see the gravitational planes of their planetary systems, and then we could count as the planets would pass in front of the star. That was how we found out that none of the 2,000 stars had planetary systems like ours, and that 80% of them had only 1 planet, typically a planet like our Jupiter orbiting very close to the Sun, just the two of them wit...

     Over 60 years ago the Drake Equation was created not to actually calculate the number of intelligent ET races in the Milky Way, but to "stimulate conversation" at the first meeting of SETI the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence in 1961.
