Stupidity Watch 1

     The trifecta of intolerance is racism, prejudice, and bigotry, but if you're even one of them you are morally reprehensible. Everyone is supposed to agree on that, right? But people stand by and allow bigotry, prejudice and racism to go unchecked, and there are others who endorse them because they're also bigots.      Racism is easy to understand, racism is being prejudiced against somebody because of their race, or color of their skin, prejudice is the broader term that encompasses all other reasons to be nasty to any identifiable group, say due to sexual orientation or religion, and a bigot is, "a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group."      Simply being born in another country exposes a person to the culture, morals and religions of that country, and to...

     Yet another blog post because of Trump's appearance at CPAC last week, where he said, "I am your retribution." The first time around when we elected Trump president we had the jovial Trump, the Trump that was still willing to embrace his humorous side more than his serious side. All that has changed, Trump is still himself, but the speech he gave at CPAC in 2023 was darker than any speech he has ever given.       "In 2016, I declared, I am your voice. Today, I add, I am your warrior, I am your justice, and for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution." Trump then repeated, "I am your retribution. I will totally obliterate the deep state, I will fire the unelected bureaucrats and shadow forces who have weaponized our justice system like it has never been weaponized before. These are sick people. I will put the people back in charge of this country again. The people will be back in charge of our country."     ...
