Lower Cholesterol With Food

     Statin drugs are extremely popular in the United States because one third of all Americans have high cholesterol. Doctors are apparently telling people that they have a family predisposition for high cholesterol before they suggest they take a statin drug. I do object to them lying to people, but in the end 97% of Americans will not stop eating meat, and that same 97% is very hard to manipulate as far as how much meat they eat.      Anytime I look up the statistics over the last 30 years they are consistent: no more than 3% of Americans eat vegetarian in any given decade and the amount of people who eat vegan within that 3% is 1% of the American population, so about a third of vegetarians are vegans, and that's it.      America has factory farming, and to some degree subsidizes at least the water going out to some farms so that beef, chicken, pork and dairy products are cheaper than they should be, making Americans eat more of them than ...

Diet Causes High Cholesterol

     I've recently been told by a number of people that their doctors had told them that they probably had a family predisposition for high cholesterol or hereditary high cholesterol, and then their doctor had suggested they take a statin drug to lower their cholesterol.  In the United States people that have a genetic predisposition for having high cholesterol make up only 1/2 of 1% of the population or approximately 1.6 million people, but the number of people with high cholesterol in the United States is around 33% of the population or 107 million people, and around 35 million Americans currently take a statin drug to lower cholesterol, but 98% of everyone with high cholesterol in America could lower their own cholesterol by eating fewer animal products like meat, dairy and eggs.      If all doctors are telling all of their patients with high cholesterol that they probably have a genetic predisposition or hereditary high cholesterol to get...
