In 1984 when Elon Musk was just 12 years old he created a video game called "Blastar," and sold the code for the game to PC and Office Technology magazine for $500. In 1995, Elon Musk along with his brother Kimbal Musk and Greg Kouri co-founded Zip2 which provided online city guide software to newspapers, offering maps, directions, and business directories. Elon did the coding, Kimbal focused on sales, and Greg Couri was an Angel investor. Four years later in 1999 Compaq acquired Zip2 for $307 million in cash and Elon Musk's share of the sale resulted in him receiving $22 million which he used to found X.com, an online financial services and e-mail payment company where again Musk was the main or only coder. X.com later merged with Confinity, which had a money-transfer service called PayPal and the merged company adopted that name. At PayPay he tried to influence the coding and the software but was removed from being CEO for it and all of his code from X.com was deleted, ...

     Dumb people thought that when Elon Musk said that he wanted to go to Mars and then bought an electric car company that electric cars were the future for Earth. Not at all. Electric cars were a stepping stone for him to get to Mars, and he needs them when he gets there. Did he make billions of dollars to invest in SpaceX by selling electric cars? No. He went public and for no really good reason his stock went to $1,000, split twice, and it still is worth somewhere around $250 for each stock, while stocks from companies like Ford, GM, and Chrysler are only worth $10 to $40, and they actually have a business model that is built around selling cars.      SpaceX is far more profitable as a company then Tesla ever was, because until 2023 Tesla didn't actually sell that many cars, while SpaceX dominates space launches because of their reusable booster rockets.      When Jeff Bezos heard about Elon Musk wanting to start a rocket company, he actually started his own rocket company Blue Origin first in 2000 while Elon Musk was still making money with Tesla stock and becoming the richest man in the world, and then Musk started his rocket company SpaceX in 2002. Then in 2004 Richard Branson who owns Virgin Airlines launched Virgin Galactic and the three billionaires became known as the, “billionaire rocketeers.”      Well 23 years later now at the end of 2023 in the first week of December only one of them was successful in reaching space and turning it into a profitable business venture, and that was Elon Musk and SpaceX, that has been a successful commercial rocket launching company launching payloads as well as people to space at least to the international space station and to LEO.      SpaceX just docked the Axiom-2 at the International Space Station (ISS). While there is the ability for crew on both the Freedom Capsule and the ISS to be involved manually with the docking, there was a reminder that it was, "crew hands off," and the entire 16 hour launch, flight, and docking was done by autopilot.      We can't have cars with full autopilot, not even Teslas, but SpaceX is capable of launching and docking Spaceships at the International Space Station using nothing but autopilot. Since Tesla and SpaceX are both Elon Musk companies, one could assume that the Full Auto technology would be shared between the companies.      The only reason Elon Musk started pushing Full Self Driving or self-driving vehicles at all is because someone killed a bicyclist while they were driving a Tesla.      On 4/20/2023 Elon Musk's SpaceX launched the first test flight of a fully assembled Starship with booster rockets. What does the first successful launch of Starship mean? It means that Elon Musk has taken his first major step towards colonizing Mars. The rocket made it off the launch pad with 30 of its 33 engines burning, and flew for over 3 minutes and 30 seconds by which point three more engines had failed. It reached over 2,000 km per hour and 39 km into the sky where it was supposed to separate and go to stage 2, but that failed and after tumbling a few times in the sky SpaceX had to destroy Starship, or as the commentators said, it had a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly or RUD over the Gulf of Mexico.      SpaceX stressed that all of this was just for the purposes of data gathering, as we've seen them do in the past with their other platforms.      Elon Musk is a billionaire with a conscience, which in the history of the world is a very rare thing. The only reason Elon Musk started pushing full self-driving or self-driving vehicles at all is because someone killed someone else that was riding a bicycle while they were driving a Tesla, and Elon Musk took that personally, and decided that he would try to prevent that from ever happening again. Thus we have full self-driving cars coming in the near future, apparently the only thing stopping it is individual states and countries have not approved it. We own a new Kia and as long as you put your hand on the wheel it will self-drive: it steers, it breaks, it accelerates. We've had cruise control for years but with the cameras all around the vehicle the car will now steer itself most of the time, which helps on long highway journeys.
