Pawns For Putin The United States has spent the last 20 years building a ring of anti-missile facilities around Russia and the former Soviet Union to stop Russia’s ability to launch nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles or ICBMs at the United States, the beginnings of the ring were just to contain Iran and North Korea, but when the ring is finished in the near future even Russia should no longer be a nuclear threat to the United States. A handful of countries have ICBM defense systems, but they are mostly all based within the countries except for Russia who also has the remnants of the Soviet defense system.
