Stupidity Watch 1

     Starting St Patrick Day's weekend 2023 the U.S. News started reporting that the International Criminal Court had issued a warrant for the arrest of Vladimir Putin for war crimes, for removing children from a war zone in the Ukraine and taking them to Russia. Almost at the same time the news also started reporting that Donald Trump said that according to leaks, he thought that he would be arrested on Tuesday March 21st 2023 as part of a hush money court case, and called for people to protest.      At 2 A.M. Sunday the 19th ABC simultaneously published to YouTube two video clips, one titled, "Donald Trump says he'll be arrested amid investigation into…" and the other, "Putin issued arrest warrant for war crimes." I have a tendency to not believe in coincidences, and instead tend to believe that there's some sort of behind-the-scenes conspiracy connecting events.      February of 2023 sadly marks the one year anniversary of the war in the Ukraine. My first blog post in October of 2022 title A Call For Peace In The Ukraine laid out the history of how the United States backed a pro-western coup in the Ukraine in 2014 and then spent eight years arming the Ukrainians. In 2022 in only 18 days President Putin of Russia destroyed every single one of the weapons systems that the United States had given the Ukraine over 8 years, and then declared mission accomplished in March of 2022 as far as his stated goal of demilitarizing the Ukraine.      Of course the United States just sent more weapons, billions of dollars of more weapons, and so this war has dragged out for more than a year, all because of the United States, and all US government officials both current and former continue to repeat the US state department position on the Ukraine, which is that Putin is bad.
