I Am Your Retribution
Yet another blog post because of Trump's appearance at CPAC last week, where he said, "I am your retribution." The first time around when we elected Trump president we had the jovial Trump, the Trump that was still willing to embrace his humorous side more than his serious side. All that has changed, Trump is still himself, but the speech he gave at CPAC in 2023 was darker than any speech he has ever given.
"In 2016, I declared, I am your voice. Today, I add, I am your warrior, I am your justice, and for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution." Trump then repeated, "I am your retribution. I will totally obliterate the deep state, I will fire the unelected bureaucrats and shadow forces who have weaponized our justice system like it has never been weaponized before. These are sick people. I will put the people back in charge of this country again. The people will be back in charge of our country."
Trump often repeats his last statement, which is an effective sales technique emphasizing his key talking points. "I will totally obliterate the deep state," is a promise, but a bit wonky and QAnony, so the simple populist message gets repeated and reworked, he says, "I will put the people back in charge of this country again." And then without a beat, re-words it as: "The people will be back in charge of our country," which is actually 2 different things. In the first he will fix the situation and put the people back in charge, the second statement is the definitive factual, after he has fixed the problem the people will be back in charge.
Trump is a master wordsmith and politician, and his prowess in the debate field is well known. His only poor performance was when he was recovering from covid against Joe Biden, and I think he had advisors telling him to back off as well, but it was his only lackluster performance to date since 2015. Everyone is afraid of running against him in the Republican field, it's why DeSantis did not even show up at CPAC this year, and it's why the two other declared Republican candidates Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy both changed their planned speeches to remove anti-Trump lines, apparently at the podium, because they read the room and knew that they could not attack Trump.
MSNBC and CNN both pretend that MAGA Republicans only represent 30% of Republicans in America. Where they get that number from I'm not sure, but it is a complete fantasy. All Republicans in the United States are the same as what you saw at CPAC in 2023, where in the straw poll 65% of them voted for Trump and 20% voted for DeSantis, that's what it's like in America, so that's what it was like at CPAC this year. CPAC is just a representation of grassroots conservative America, and conservative America loves Trump, not 30% of Republicans, but something like 65% of all Republicans, conservatives and Libertarians like Trump.
Meanwhile, MSNBC and CNN continue to lie and claim that Trump is dangerous, and they continue to report that they just don't understand how 30% of Republicans can like Trump, but they don't use the phrase, "like Trump," or "support Trump," in March of 2023 they are consistently claiming that 30% of Republicans, "think that Trump is God." This is extremely offensive and a big lie, because it is much closer to 65% of Republicans, conservatives and Libertarians that support Trump. To use God in their insults simply shows that the Democrats are dominated by Godless atheists, and to them the word God is nothing more than a political talking point.
Ever heard of a little something called the Ten Commandments? One of them says, "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain;" No Republican or Trump supporter has ever said that they think that Trump is God, but the offensive talking heads at MSNBC and CNN continue to use God's name in vain as an insult to both Trump and to Trump supporters to say that they are delusional. But this time around it is Trump 2.0 they have to deal with, this is Warrior Trump, he's been through the wringer and has survived everything that Washington and the deep state has thrown at him, and his supporters are no longer taking off their MAGA hats, they've been running for and winning seats in Congress and in their states for the last 6 years.
Retribution means to seek vengeance, and to punish those that have committed wrongs and injustices. We can only hope that Trump takes a page out of his time with professional wrestling and becomes, "Trump the Punisher." You thought he was a vicious debater last time? He was actually staying civil and fairly polite. Get ready for no holds barred Trump this time around. Personally I can't wait to see Trump the Punisher, last time around he was all talk and no action about dismantling the deep state because he had very few allies, maybe this time around if he is re-elected he can really drain the swamp. He does have a whole army of Americans supporting him this time, as well as the Supreme Court and the House of Representatives.
