A Call For Peace In The Ukraine

     The entire U.S. media both Republican and Democrat leaning is in lockstep with the U.S. State Department in regards to the Ukraine. Sometimes you have to take people at their word, and in the case of the Ukraine the only person that tells the truth about what is going on is Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. He said that he was going into the Ukraine to demilitarize them, which meant to remove the weapons that the U.S. had given them since what some have identified as a fascist, an imperialist, and even a neo-Nazi U.S.-backed coup called the Maidan Revolution in February of 2014. A few months later on May 12, 2014 Hunter Biden, son of then Vice President Joe Biden was appointed to the board of Burisma the oil and gas giant in the Ukraine.

     After the Maidan Revolution the United States began pouring weapons into a pro-U.S., anti-Russian Ukrainian government, building up its military, Putin annexed the Crimea, and backed the Donbas region seceding and joining Russia, and participated in an 8 year grueling border war between the U.S.-backed Ukrainian military and the Russian-backed Donbas military. Then on February 24th 2022 Putin announced a "special military operation" for the "demilitarisation and denazification" of the Ukraine. In only 18 days his military and bombs swept across the country destroying every single weapon that the U.S. had given them at every single military base, bombing military bases all the way to within 15 miles of the border of Poland by March 14th 2022, soon after this Putin declared, "mission accomplished," for the demilitarization of the Ukraine, and turned his attention to the denazification of the Ukraine by focusing on destroying the Azov Battalion.

     The Azov Battalion hunkered down in the Azovstal steel plant bomb shelters in the port city of Mariupol (their home city) which lies directly between the Donbas region in the east and Crimea in the south. The Azov Battalion surrendered on May 16th 2022, and were taken into the Donbas region with no news reports of them since, and while the Azov Battalion was re-formed without the original members, this time dropping the potentially Nazi "wolf's angle" symbol from their insignia, Putin also accomplished his mission as far as denazification goes by destroying the original Azov Battalion.

     So the war should be over right? Putin did achieve both of his objectives in the, "special military operation." No, the war is not over because the United States won't stop sending weapons into the Ukraine. What was the U.S. response once Putin had destroyed every single weapon that the U.S. had given the Ukraine over eight years in only 18 days, and then declared mission accomplished as far as the demilitarization of the Ukraine after March 14th 2022? U.S. President Joe Biden, as well as the entire U.S. Congress, both House and Senate (with no dissenters anywhere) all voted to send more weapons into the Ukraine, they did this multiple times, prolonging the war indefinitely. Since Putin declared that the mission to demilitarize the Ukraine was accomplished in March of 2022, the United States has given the Ukraine an additional 15 billion dollars worth of weapons systems. The war could have been over after only 18 days, or after 3 months with the capture of the Azov Battalion, but now it's gone on for over 8 months with no end in sight because Putin will have to stay to destroy every new weapon that we send in.

     In October of 2022 President Biden said that we were closer to nuclear Armageddon than we had been in the last 60 years, which is probably due to the fact that he had likely received a briefing about a general that Putin had put in charge of the entire Ukrainian operation whose nickname is General Armageddon based on his performance in Russia's border wars. 

     The Indian Express reports that in the Ukraine from February 24th thru March 13th 596 civilians were killed and 1,067 were injured, this would have been the totals if the war had ended after 18 days. Instead after 6 months of the U.S. pouring billions of dollars worth of more weapons into the Ukraine, on October 16, 2022 the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) verified a total of 6,306 civilian deaths during Russia's invasion of the Ukraine, of them 397 were children, and 9,602 people were reported to have been injured.

     We went from 596 people killed and 1,067 people injured after Putin declared mission accomplished soon after March 14th 2022, to 6,306 civilian dead and 9,602 injured as of October 17th 2022, and all because the U.S. replaced the weapons that Putin had already destroyed as part of his stated mission. As Americans we are all responsible for the extra 5,700 civilian dead including nearly 400 children, that is blood on all of our hands.

     And there are no voices of sanity saying, "Stop sending weapons in, that just continues the war, it just continues the civilian deaths!" The U.S. has no rights in that part of the world, that is Russia's sphere of influence. Vladimir Putin has now stated that the Donbas region and an adjacent Eastern region will be annexed into Russia.

     Do you recall how we reacted when Russia put nuclear weapons in Cuba? Well the United States currently wants to put nuclear weapons in Poland, and if we have our way we will put nuclear weapons in the Ukraine as well, pointing directly at Moscow. War is stupid. Killing people is stupid. And supporting politicians that are warmongers is especially stupid.

     Because the United States continued the war, the grain cannot get out of the ports because they are destroyed or blockaded, and a lot of grain was not planted this year in the Ukraine. There are millions of people that are food insecure in the Middle East and Africa that rely on grains and seeds coming from the Ukraine, which is literally known as the breadbasket of the world. The Ukraine is cut off now and Russia is sanctioned as well, and they also produce extremely large amounts of grain including sunflower and wheat, which is not getting out due to sanctions, making matters worse. They are cut off due to U.S. imperialist actions in a Cold War power grab to try and take the Ukraine from Russia.

     There is only one potential solution, every two years there's an opportunity to clean house, literally, every single person in the House of Representatives is up for reelection, and 1/3 of the senators, and they all voted to continue a war which has meant over 5,700 more dead civilians in the Ukraine including nearly 400 dead children, and whether they understood or not, they all voted for a global food shortage which could possibly kill millions through starvation, and it's important to realize that they all voted to spend your tax dollars on weapons to send to the Ukraine to continue this war. The solution is to, "vote the bums out," every single incumbent in the House of Representatives and 1/3 of the senators need to go, both Republican and Democrat. Maybe the non-incumbents will be better.
