The Global Warming Hoax

    Most media sources will tell you that 99% of all climate scientists agree that global warming is real, and all opposition is labeled, “climate science denial,” or, “climate change denial.”  The truth is that the climate is changing, the temperature goes up and down, but there is nothing we can do about the global temperature, and there is no evidence that we have caused anything negative other than acid rain with the excess CO2 produced since the Industrial Revolution.

    In fact, elevated CO2 levels have actually been a huge boost to the world population, allowing more food to be grown per plant than before the Industrial Revolution, when CO2 levels were about 280 ppm.  Most food crops use photosynthesis to break H2O down and also break CO2 down in a different process, then combine the base parts into complex sugars during, “carbon fixation,” the complex sugars are then transported to the cells where they are broken down into simple sugars, and the released energy is what fuels cells, so the elevated CO2 levels today that are over 400 ppm allow farmers to raise bigger plants and produce more food given the same land and sunlight, just using some extra water.

    CO2 supplementation is used in some greenhouses to accelerate the growth of plants, both by tanks of CO2 and by non-fruiting mycelial bags that produce CO2 naturally.  Raising the CO2 levels on the planet from 285 ppm in 1850 to over 400 ppm today is at least 33% over the 280 ppm highs in the Holocene, which means 33% more sugars to fuel plant growth, and 33% larger, faster growing, or higher yielding food crops per given plant or field.

    This allows for a golden age of food on the planet that has not existed for over 4 million years, which is a good thing considering the world population has grown from around 2 billion in 1830, to over 3 billion by 1970, and then in only 50 years the world population more than doubled to over 8 billion people.   If you calculate all of the food crops in the world and subtract about 25%, that is about as much as we could have grown without our elevated CO2 levels.

    I worked for GreenPeace for 6 years from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s where I was a door to door Canvasser, Canvass Trainer, Crew Chief, and Canvass Liaison (sort of like a shop steward), and we campaigned against chlorine bleaching because of the carcinogen dioxin, we campaigned against incinerator sitings in poor neighborhoods because of the increased cancer risk, we campaigned against CFC and HCFC because they destroyed the ozone layer, and we suggested curtailing CO2 emissions because of acid rain, but to the best of my memory we did not focus on, “global warming.”

    I remember telling people about how the little lake in Isle Royale in Lake Superior was becoming acidic and harming the island wildlife, as proof of the negative effects of acid rain caused by CO2.  Again, GreenPeace did not campaign about global warming at all while I worked for them, because we focused on the real negative effect of excess CO2 which is acid rain, not global warming; however in 2018 GreenPeace USA's website showed that GreenPeace now repeats global warming claims. 

    The seeds of the global warming hoax were sown the same year I started working for GreenPeace, according to heartland.org on June 23 1988 the New York Times reported that, “Today Dr. James E. Hansen of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration told a Congressional committee that it was 99 percent certain that the warming trend was not a natural variation, but was caused by a buildup of carbon dioxide and other artificial gasses in the atmosphere.”

    So the global warming hoax started with a former NASA employee testifying before congress, and to this day NASA is still a big part of the hoax, if you check their website about global warming, they only address the CO2 rise and the Modern Warming Period for the last 150 years since the Industrial Revolution, showing a long chart over 100s of thousands of years drawn from ice cores, but fail to overlay the temperature and CO2 charts from the same ice core data that shows how CO2 trails temperature at the end of interglacial warming periods by 10,000 to 20,000 years.

    Did the Industrial Revolution and all of the steam, heat, and then carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels pull us up into this current peak in global temperatures?  There is no evidence to support the idea, just the coincidence of the Industrial Revolution and the Modern Warming Period, check the NASA website, nothing but corollary evidence and statements of expert consensus are provided to support global warming claims.

    It is actually shameful how stupid they assume everyone is, talking down, condescending, and telling you that you are too stupid to understand the subject.  I am telling you that you are smart, and that you can understand the subject of global warming, just try.  NASA says that global warming or climate change is caused by humans, and provides charts showing a corollary between post Industrial Revolution temperature levels, and will show you ice core data for either CO2 or temperature, but they don't show you both the Temperature and CO2 over 100s of thousands of years in the same chart.  NASA could have overlaid the Temperature and CO2 charts on their website, but they chose not to, to hide the obvious fact that temperature affects CO2 at the end of interglacial warming periods, not the other way around.

    Intentionally presenting the CO2 without the Temperature overlaid, or visa versa is lying by omission, or could just be the result of short sighted specialists and lazy researchers, but NASA says that, “Ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and tropical mountain glaciers show that the Earth’s climate responds to changes in greenhouse gas levels.”  That is a lie, at the end of the last interglacial warming period peak before this one, and each peak before that, temperatures dropped and then 10,000 to 20,000 years later the CO2 levels dropped, the direct opposite of what NASA states.

    The use of the term, “greenhouse gas levels,” is a key big lie starting point, if the global warming alarmists even get you to say, “greenhouse gas,” without the disqualifying term, “so-called,” as in, “so-called greenhouse gasses,” then you are bought into the hoax.  An overlaid Carbon Dioxide and Temperature chart for the past 400,000 years clearly shows that CO2 falls after temperature at the end of interglacial warming periods, and that these are normal cycles.  The CO2 levels do not affect the temperature, the temperature affects the CO2 levels, so the golden age of agriculture caused by CO2 levels over 400 ppm will continue for another 7,000 to 17,000 years, and even though we will enter the next glacial period in the next few thousand years and the glaciers will start coming back in the northern hemisphere, the CO2 levels will continue to boost agriculture near the equator.

    So what caused our Modern Warming Period?  After 150 years of burning fossil fuels you might think that the argument for global warming is reasonable, but the Modern Warming Period we are experiencing falls into a pattern of global cooling for the last 3,000 years called the Recent Holocene.  The Recent Holocene started with the Minoan Warming Period, then the Roman Warming Period, then the Medieval Warming Period, and now the Modern Warming Period, all about 1,000 years apart, and each one cooler than the last, so that we are now at least 2 degrees Celsius cooler than the peak of the Minoan Warming Period 3,000 years ago.

    Since the temperatures started dropping 3,000 years ago the CO2 levels will start dropping around 7,000 to 17,000 years from now, regardless of continued human outputs of CO2.  So while we have increased the CO2 levels from an interglacial warming average of 280 ppm in the Holocene to over 400 ppm in the last 75 years or so as the world population jumped from 2.5 billion after World War II to over 8 billion today, that CO2 did not cause the Modern Warming Period, all it caused on the negative side was acid rain and more acidic lakes and acidic oceans, but on the positive side, 33% larger, faster growing, or higher yielding food crops the world over.

     There has been some recent attempt to shift the blame to methane which does have a positive corollary with the temperature rise since the end of the Little Ice Age and near the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in the 1830s, and while methane could be a potential global warming gas, it makes up only a tiny fraction of the atmosphere, currently 0.0000018% of the atmosphere or slightly less than two 1 millionths of 1%, and apparently the methane levels were fairly stable during the Minoan, Roman, and Medieval warming periods before this one, so it does not appear that methane affects warming periods in the Recent Holocene. 

    Along the downward slope of the Recent Holocene cooling period there are still upward peaks, but after each peak in temperature like the Roman Warming Period, the temperature drops off rapidly and continues declining.  We are currently in a 200 year warming period that started after what we call the Little Ice Age, the fourth such warming period in the last 3,000 years.  A chart of the temperature anomalies in the Holocene shows no greater spike in our Modern Warming Period than was found in the previous Medieval Warming Period or the Roman Warming Period before that, these small warming periods raise the temperature by around 1 degree Celsius in around 200 hundred years, and then fall by around 1.5 degrees Celsius in around 100 years.

    NASA incorrectly states that we entered the Holocene 7,000 years ago, when the Holocene started over 10,000 years ago, first the Early Holocene lasted over 7,000 years, and then the Recent Holocene has been going on for over 3,000 years.  It is possible that short sighted specialists at NASA actually did not know the truth, and that the global warming hoax is just a mistake, like saying that the Holocene started 7,000 years ago.  Maybe global warming claims from NASA are just a great big honest mistake.

    The truth is, the planet is currently exiting the Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, and temperatures just 20,000 years ago at the end of the last glacial period were about 16 degrees Celsius cooler than they are now, then warmed up about 18 degrees Celsius over the next 10 thousand years to start the Holocene, which was the last time in history that significant global warming happened.

    Between 18,000 and 8,000 years ago as temperatures increased by 18 degrees Celsius the mile thick glaciers that covered the top 1/3 of the planet melted, flowed into the oceans, and evaporated away and rained down and the sea levels rose about 120 meters at an average of 1.2 centimeters per year or half an inch.  But the rise was not constant, during the last 16,000 years there were three large meltwater pulses, Meltwater Pulse 1A occurred around 14,000 years ago, Meltwater Pulse 1B occurred around 11,500 years ago, and Meltwater Pulse 1C occurred around 8,000 years ago.  During Meltwater Pulse 1C, the sea levels increased by over 6.5 meters or 21 feet in less than 140 years.  The meltwater pulses are also known as catastrophic rise events, so Meltwater Pulse 1C (MWP1c) is also known as Catastrophic Rise Event 3 (CRE3), and it is also more commonly known as The Flood or The Deluge in the Bible.

     By 10,000 years ago temperatures started to average around 2 to 3 degrees Celsius warmer than it is now, and while the temperature fell by up to 2 or 3 degrees Celsius every few thousand years, it would climb back up, and there was very little average decline during the entire 7,000 years of the Early Holocene.  The Recent Holocene started 3,000 years ago, and for the last 3,000 years the globe has been cooling at 10 times the average rate of cooling as in the Early Holocene, and there are regular one thousand year spikes in temperature in the Recent Holocene followed by rapid temperature drops.  According to coral reef data, ocean levels reached their peak between 3,000 and 6,000 years ago when the ocean levels were 3 meters higher than they are today, they have actually fallen 3 meters, likely all in the Recent Holocene at an average of 1 meter per thousand years with a direct correlation: as the temperatures drop globally it is snowing at the poles, and ice is being set up on glaciers which lowers the ocean levels.

    These are undisputed facts in the scientific community and most scientists are aware of our place in the Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, but most Americans, politicians, and news reporters appear to be oblivious.  Look it up yourself, anyone with common sense and basic research skills can do it.  I will lay out all the facts, but use your own mind, do some research and decide for yourself.  There are an abundance of websites playing the same game and posting the same charts, the valuable information on the internet can be found on far less than 1% of the websites.  If that is a conspiracy, so be it, but it is insulting how stupid they all assume you all are to pull off this big lie.

    Online it is very hard to find charts that start before 10,000 years ago.  Why do so many charts only start 10,000 years ago at the beginning of the Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, immediately after a dramatic rise of 18 degrees Celsius?  Global warming advocates will be happy to discuss the last 190 years since the Industrial Revolution began in 1830 or even the last 10,000 years in the Early Holocene, but not any earlier.  Why are there no charts showing the last 20,000 years of global temperatures?

    In fact, we are in a state of Global Cooling.  For the last 200 years or so we have been in the Modern Warming Period that falls exactly into a cycle every 1,000 years along with the Minoan, Roman, and Medieval warming periods before this one, but the overall temperature trend is down for the last 3,000 years, and we have spent enough time in the Holocene based on previous interglacial warming periods.  The transition down about 10 degrees Celsius into the next glacial period will take around 10,000 years, and 1 degree lower every 1,000 years is not a rapid change, so there is no need to panic about glaciers coming soon, or even in the next thousand years.  This is not something to panic about, or spend money on, or research.  It just won’t affect anyone for thousands of years.

     The next doom and gloom potential is very far away, in 3,000 to 10,000 years the glaciers will come back in the northern hemisphere, but you can outrun a glacier, then in 7,000 to 17,000 years the CO2 levels will start to fall over the span of about 5,000 years most likely all the way down to historic levels of about 230 ppm in the glacial periods which would be a cut of almost 50% of the current CO2 levels.  Now plants have evolved over millions of years with these glacial cycles of CO2 and can grow perfectly fine in 230 ppm during glacial periods, but the loss of productivity for food crops will be staggering.

    A drop from over 400 ppm to around 200 ppm will mean a potential loss of 50% in sugar production by plants, so 50% smaller plants, or 50% slower growing plants, or 50% lower yielding plants, which could cause global food shortages depending on what the world population is then, but that will not happen for 7,000 to 17,000 years, which is a very long way off.

    Over the last 800,000 years there have been a total of seven previous interglacial warming period peaks before our current peak, and 7 low temperature valleys associated with the glacial periods.  The last interglacial warming period before the Holocene was the Eemian Interglacial Warming Period.  The amount of time it took to enter the Eemian Interglacial Warming Period from the preceding glacial period was about 10,000 years, during which time the temperatures increased about 15 degrees Celsius.  The Eemian Interglacial Warming Period lasted about 10,000 years and then the temperatures dropped by over 10 degrees Celsius in 10,000 years to start the Younger Dryas Glacial Period.

    The Younger Dryas Glacial Period lasted over 100,000 years, during which the temperatures rose and fell, eventually dropping another 5 degrees Celsius by 20,000 years ago, when the temperatures jumped up again by over 15 degrees Celsius in around 10,000 years to start the Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, which was an example of real global warming.

    As far as I know the first time I heard about the global warming claim was in the movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” that came out in 2006.  It appears that the hoax was brought to the mainstream with Al Gore’s movie, but over the years it seems that almost everyone has been taken in, and all around the world, so that in April of 2016 just 10 years after the release of the movie, 156 countries signed the Paris Agreement, agreeing that anthropogenic global warming is real, and that global warming is caused by human activity since the Industrial Revolution (anthropogenic means caused by man).

    I call shenanigans.  Global warming is a hoax perpetrated on the vast majority of people who can’t be bothered to actually look up whether we are in a glacial period or an interglacial warming period, or what the temperature was like 20,000 years ago, or if we entered the Holocene 7,000 years ago like NASA says, or 10,000 years ago like actually happened.  Most people who read this will not do any further research, they will either reject what I have written out of ignorance, or accept the truth and thank God someone else did the research for them.

    The entire bases of the global warming hoax is based on using so called experts or specialists, and advocates then compare reliance on expert opinion in climate change to being as necessary as having an expert doctor when you get cancer.  In other words, just accept that experts and specialists have thought for you.  Over the last decade the term, “global warming,” has been intentionally replaced with the term, “climate change,” and the two terms can be used to mean generally the same thing now.  When they ask climate scientists about global warming, they ask vague questions like, “Do you believe humans are responsible for climate change?  And by doing so they can get 99% to agree that humans have contributed at least half of the climate change.

    Now climate change does not have to mean temperature change, the climate is also made up of other factors like wind, clouds, humidity, and rain, and if you asked me, causing acid rain and acidic lakes and acidic oceans with our extra CO2 has affected the climate, but there is absolutely no evidence that we caused the Modern Warming Period for the last 150 years, just the assurance that experts have looked into it for you, that it is very complex, and that there is consensus.

    Recently, armchair environmentalists have compared global warming to CFCs and pointed out that we banned CFCs, so we should be able to do something about global warming.  Until the mid 1990s, every summer when people topped off the freon in their car air conditioners, some of the CFCs that had leaked out in the last year had made their way up to the ozone layer, and were acting as a catalyst, breaking ozone down without changing, so 1 CFC could break down thousands of ozone molecules.

    Ozone absorbs all UVC and a lot of UVB light, so by the 1990s Australians were getting hit with a wobbling ozone hole that formed as a thinning over Antarctica, and were getting sunburnt with short sun exposures.  The thinning ozone layer was caused by humans, which is proof of anthropogenic change in the environment, but maybe not the climate, depending on your definition, and the anthropogenic change was corrected by humans when GreenPeace successfully lobbied in 16 industrial nations and got them to agree to stop using CFCs in 1996.  Our ozone layer is no longer getting thinner, and in the last 20 years people have stopped talking about an Antarctic, “ozone hole,” even though it still exists, and it is expected to take decades to finally disappear.  However, when it comes to the Modern Warming Period, we did not cause the warming of the last 190 years with so-called, “greenhouse gasses,” like CO2, and global cycles of warming and cooling cannot be stopped or reversed by humans.

    What absolutely cannot happen is the predictions of the global warming so called, “climate models,” that are not based on any real data, and so are not real models, instead, they all assume humans have caused the modern warming trend with, “greenhouse,” gasses like CO2, based on the weak correlation between the Industrial Revolution and the Modern Warming Period, and the belief in specialists and experts who all ignore ice core data, or use it selectively, like NASA.  Global warming advocates falsely believe without any proof, that human activity has caused the Modern Warming Period, ignoring the Medieval, Roman, and Minoan warming periods that preceded it.  They also falsely believe that human activities will cause temperature rises that would put us back to the peak temperatures of the Holocene more than 3,000 years ago.  That cannot happen, because CO2 trails temperature change, it does not cause it.

    Do the global warming advocates tell you that the temperature on the planet rose by over 15 degrees Celsius from about 20,000 years ago to 10,000 years ago when we entered the Holocene?  No, they do not.

    Do the global warming advocates tell you that the Earth is 2 degrees Celsius cooler than it was 3,000 years ago in the Minoan Warming Period, when it was the hottest that it has ever been in the last 800,000 years?  No, they do not.

    Do the global warming advocates tell you that when the ice core charts for CO2 and temperature are overlaid they show that temperatures drop at the end of interglacial warming periods, and then 10,000 to 20,000 years later the CO2 levels drop?  No they do not.

    Our Modern Warming Period for the last 200 years or so was a rise of a little over 1 degree Celsius after falling 3 degrees Celsius since the peak of the Minoan Warming Period.  The temperature drops from the Minoan, Roman and Medieval warming periods were rapid in geologic time, with drops of between 1 to 1.5 degrees Celsius in less than 100 years, so the drop from our Modern Warming Period will be accompanied by another nearly 1.5 degree Celsius drop over 100 years or so, plunging us into another Little Ice Age.  Within the next 100 years as the temperatures drop this will cause ocean levels to also drop by as much as a meter, and while the Arctic Ocean has been melting in the summer since the late 1800s, within the next hundred years it will stop melting in the summer and won't melt again for 100,000 years until the next interglacial warming period begins.

    Around 3,000 years ago at the peak of the Minoan Warming Period was the end of the 7,000 years of the Early Holocene, so the claim that the global warming alarmists make that human activity will cause the temperature to rise 2 degrees in the next 20, 50 or 100 years is laughable, because even if it were true it would only raise the temperature to around what people enjoyed 3,000 years ago, and it could not go any higher.  People who lived 3,000 years ago lived literally at a peak of global warming in the last 800,000 years, and everyone was fine.

    Rather than temperatures warming up 2 degrees, the temperatures will cool down out of our Modern Warming Period.  The drop from our Modern Warming Period may have in fact already begun, with Antarctic temperatures reversing the trend of the previous 20 years by declining by 1 degree Celsius over the last 20 plus years.  Temperatures will drop over the next 10,000 years or so, and during the next glacial period the temperature lows will often be 20 degrees Celsius lower than they are now, and the temperatures will often rise or fall by as much as 10 degrees Celsius in only 100 years, but temperatures have only fallen 2 degrees from the interglacial, “Climate Optimum,” of the Early Holocene to our current temperatures.

    So don’t believe anyone who warns of food shortages, crop failures, or sea level rise from global warming, sea levels actually fall during global cooling, and we are enjoying a golden age of agriculture due to the elevated CO2 levels.  Again, global warming is a hoax, and global cooling is so slow it will only drop 1 degree Celsius over the next 100 years from our Modern Warming Period, and will only drop another .5 degree Celsius over the next 1,000 years if the cooling of the Recent Holocene continues at the same pace, or possibly drop by as much as 2 full degrees Celsius over the next 1,000 years if the rapid change at the end of the Holocene has started, which will be noticed in the northern hemisphere, but will not bring on the glaciers, they will take about 2,000 to 5,000 years to come back.

    The global warming hoax requires starting all data at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, no more than 150 or 200 years ago, and ignores combined CO2 and temperature ice core data for the last 800,000 years that shows our place in the 10,000 year Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, and how temperatures drop tens of thousands of years before CO2 drops at the end of interglacial warming periods.

    So what was the whole point of the global warming hoax?  Before the Paris Agreement was signed in 2016, Carbon Credits and Carbon Credit buying and selling had been established to bribe undeveloped nations to keep them from developing their resources, and by far the biggest winners from the global warming hoax are the developed countries that first bought Carbon Credits from undeveloped countries, and then later got them to sign the Paris Agreement, convincing nations that had not developed their resources to sit on them, and to get Chinese solar panels and windmills instead.

    Why?  One obvious reason is that large industrial nations would like to exploit the resources of other countries in the future.  Let our corporations extract your oil, minerals, and other resources.  You can now buy a coke.  Seems like a fair deal to industrialists everywhere.  Also there is all of the research and development money for alternative fuels that oil companies get from taxpayers around the world.  While there are valid reasons to pursue alternative energy sources, since accidents like the Exxon Valdez and the Deepwater Horizon show us the environmental and human damage the oil industry causes with oil spills, global warming is a hoax, and should not be used as a reason to pursue alternative energy.

    While humans have added CO2 to the atmosphere, we did not cause the Modern Warming Period of the last 150 years or so, any more than the Minoans caused a warming period, or the Romans, or people in the Medieval period 1,000 years ago.  We are currently in a 3,000 year global cooling period called the Recent Holocene that is cooling 10 times faster than the Early Holocene, and we are already cooling half as fast as the fastest cooling when interglacial warming periods end.

    Instead of global warming, we are experiencing global cooling with a temporary warming period.  The climate is changing, but there are things we have caused, and things we have not caused.  We did cause the thinning of the ozone layer which may be a good example of real anthropogenic climate change, but we took action and mostly stopped using CFCs and HCFCs and the ozone hole at the South Pole is no longer getting any worse.  And while we did add a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere which caused acid rain on the negative side, on the positive side the elevated CO2 levels of over 400 ppm have allowed at least 33% more sugars for plant growth, both now, and as far as 10,000 to 20,000 years into the future, which in the best case scenario means 33% more food can be grown per plant.  We are truly living in a golden age of agriculture, and there is no need to worry that it will end anytime soon.  Global warming claims of a 2 degree rise in temperature in the next 20, 50, or 100 years require stopping, and then reversing a cycle of glacial periods that has been going on for over 800,000 years.  We cannot stop or reverse the end of the Holocene Interglacial Warming Period, and it is extreme hubris to think we can.
