Why Some Immigrants Scam America

On July 6, 2026 the U.S. State Department hosted a global security summit in Washington, D.C. attended by foreign diplomats from 66 countries including Canada, Australia, and countries in Europe, Central America and South America. Secretary of State Marco Rubio opened the proceedings by framing the gathering as a critical global alliance.

​"We have no choice but to confront this menace together. We will either cooperate across our borders, or the terrorists will continue to exploit the gaps between them."

​This effectively invited the assembled nations to join the U.S. in a unified offensive against the threats of leftist political violence.

​Following Rubio, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent laid out a new offensive. Miller declared a national security initiative to disrupt, identify, defund, debank, arrest, and prosecute radical elements like Antifa, Anti-ICE, and international networks like ISIS under National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM-7). He labeled these extremist factions enemies of civilization who present a direct threat to the survival of the American republic.

​Bessent, an international money specialist and financial auditor extraordinaire focused on the theft of American taxpayer money by organized crime in foreign countries that drain money out of America through massive fraud pipelines originating in multiple different countries.

​The Global Thiefdoms

​Data from Transparency International a Berlin-based anti-corruption watchdog group in their annual Corruption Perceptions Index calculates scores by aggregating expert assessments and business executive surveys from 13 different data sources, including the World Bank and the World Economic Forum. Of the nations tracked by Transparency International, 122 out of 182 fail by scoring under 50% on their corruption scale, meaning two-thirds of the governments on the planet operate as thiefdoms. Even in countries that possess paved roads, electricity, running water, and basic security among the 122, no one ever has anything to show for a lifetime of work, which is the main driver of migration to the West including the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, where property rights are respected and they allow you to keep what you earn after taxes.

​The 50-State Road Trip

​Alexandra Pelosi’s HBO documentary Citizen U.S.A.: A 50 State Road Trip recorded interviews with new citizens from 50 different nations, almost all of whom said some variation of the same thing:

​"I watched my father work his entire life and have nothing to show for it in the end, because someone always came and took all of the money. But in America, you get to keep what you earn."

​For these individuals, the ability to work and keep what you earn after taxes is a life-changing opportunity commonly referred to as the American Dream. The people in the movie all appear to have come here to work honestly, and to build a life in a system that simply offers security and fairness, and that doesn't steal all of their money.

​A Clash of Cultures: Thiefdoms vs. The West

​The national security crisis occurs because not everyone migrating out of these thiefdoms shares an honest mindset. Some flee decent environments where they already work a steady job and already have a house or an apartment with electricity and running water, but they just can't ever get ahead, while others come from places without paved roads, without garbage collection, without electricity or running water, either due to war, terrorism, or total state failure for any other reason, and they absolutely know that they live in the worst kind of thiefdoms on the planet where the rich take everything, and so they grew up knowing that only though stealing for yourself, and through using local nepotism networks can you survive. When they arrive in America they bring that same survival-by-theft ideology, and use our systems designed to help people with government assistance as tools to scam America, stealing millions in US taxpayer dollars to send back to their home countries.

  • ​The Pandemic Food Fraud: Rep. Ilhan Omar who was born in Somalia introduced the MEALS Act, which was incorporated into the federal pandemic relief legislation. This legislation relaxed oversight and guardrails for federal school nutrition programs, then members of her Somali American community in Minneapolis exploited these relaxed controls by setting up fake meal distribution sites like the Safari Restaurant to steal hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars earmarked to feed American children and send it back to Somalia, where most of the money was used to buy land and houses.
  • ​Hospice and healthcare fraud: In Los Angeles California the Hospice fraud is run by entirely different immigrants. Federal investigations have linked these Los Angeles area operations to Armenian organized crime, which used fake diagnoses and shell companies to bill millions in nonexistent services to Medicare and Medi-Cal.
  • Multiple countries have been implicated and the main reason the Trump Administration expanded the travel ban is to block scammers from entering America. Under the expanded travel ban countries designated with a full suspension of entry face a complete block on all immigrant and non-immigrant visas due to strict national security and vetting criteria.

​Conclusion

​America’s public assistance programs like daycare assistance, autism care assistance, and hospice care assistance were built on mutual trust that no one would scam the system, unfortunately so many people immigrate from thiefdoms with organized crime that the generosity of the US taxpayer has been nothing more than a tool to exploit for systemic theft.

​But now the full financial authority of the U.S. Treasury is focused on intercepting foreign networks draining U.S. tax dollars out of America. The first step is to eliminate the tax-exempt status of scam shell organizations, and to track the stolen money, and there has never been a more qualified Secretary of the Treasury for the job than Scott Bessant. And Steven Miller says he will shut down Antifa, Anti-ICE, and the global Political Islamist terrorist network ISIS, along with Socialists, Communists and Leftists in America, ensuring that the structures established for law-abiding citizens are no longer tools to be used by organized crime in thiefdoms around the planet.
